Hey, I found the following issues:

1. Clicking the arrow for the system tray icons, will also highlight the arrow on the original taskbar.

2. Hovering over the network tray icon will show a multi-line tooltip on the original taskbar, but not on the DF taskbar.

3. Clicking the system tray icons (issues, battery, network, volume) don't go that smooth. The original popups show on the primary monitor for a split second before showing above the DF icon. And it takes a full second to show the popup. The volume popup won't show on the correct position (a bit much to the left) (see attachment).

4. The system tray icon tooltips won't always show above the system tray icons popups (see attachment).

5. Is there a way to import my current wallpapers? Because the default profile does not match my current situation. My current wallpaper is set by an pre-installed windows theme.

6. Can I change the default behavior of double clicking the DF tray icon? I never use the wallpaper settings.

7. Could you add a quick list of all monitors with all settings. Now you have to click each monitor to get the data. A copy to clipboard feature would be nice too.

Windows 7 SP1
DF v3.5.0 Beta 8
2 monitors (1600 * 900 primary, 1280 * 1024 secondary right)

Keep up the great work!

Thanks jerone! We'll check these out and post an update as soon as we have one.

Ok, here we go :)

1. This is expected, as we're opening the dialogs from the Windows taskbar and moving them over.

2. We have this one on our list to be fixed, but unfortunately we can't at the moment. Hopefully some day though :)

3. Same as #1, but we'll see if we can fix up the Volume popup's position.

4. I haven't been able to reproduce this, but we'll check it out anyhow.

5. To clarify, you want to use the images from the Windows Themes in the DisplayFusion Wallpaper Configuration? If so, you can select the "Randomly load images from my computer" option in the Wallpaper Config, and add the folders that are in C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper.

6. I've added your vote to an open request for this feature :)

7. Which monitor settings would you like to see in the list?

Thnx for replying. Keep up the great work.

5. I never used the wallpaper on this laptop before and I want to import the current wallpaper settings. That these images come from a theme actually doesn't matter for me. Maybe an option to import the current wallpaper would be a better request.

7. Actually a list of resolutions would be nice. anyways, just an idea.

No problem jerone!

We'll certainly consider #5, and for #7, you can actually see the monitor info if you go to the Troubleshooting tab, and click the "Monitors [x]" link. Does that provide enough info?

Thanks!

Just a quick update, we've made it so that the Volume ToolTip just doesn't show at all now when the volume control is open.

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion Beta (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and you can now choose the default tray icon behaviour on the Settings > Options tab :)

Thanks!

Awesome, just changed it to open DF settings window.

Some feedback:
  • The setting says "double-click" but it also executes the same action on single click.
  • Noticed that the "Desktop Wallpaper" in the tray icon context menu is still bold. Bold mostly indicates the default behavior of a single click.
  • Could both single and double click have an option...

Thanks for the feedback! I've added those items to our list. The "double-click" text is a bit misleading, because the default tray icon behaviour is single click on some versions of Windows, and double-click on others. I'll see if we can just update the text to not reference the double-click. If we're able to implement separate single and double-click settings in the future, I'll let you know about that as well :)

Last feedback seems to be fixed in last beta; great!
