also it eats cycles like there's no tomorrow. it hovers around 16% CPU time.

I'll test this out here. Are you using Deskscapes 3 or 8? Also, which version of Windows are you running?

Thanks!

it's 3 (version 8 is total crap) and windows 7 x64. Hope you'll find something. I've disabled deskcapes now and haven't had any explorer issues anymore since and pc is running 24/7. CPU usage is also within expected (normal) range.

Ok, thanks! I've installed Deskscapes 3 and we'll see what happens here :)

I still haven't had any luck reproducing these issues here. How long did it usually take before it started happening?

i didn't really pay notice .. it just struck me suddenly that 6 cores were running almost full doing nothing special. After the last update of DP deskscapes just freezes but no more excessive load. I guess deskcapes 3 is running out of sync with later updates of W7? I have deskscapes 8 but that is total crap compared to 3.

What was using up the CPU? Was it DisplayFusion, or Deskscapes? If it was DisplayFusion, was is DisplayFusion 7.0 Beta 8?
