I'm running windows 7 at 1920x1080 and I don't really have any problems with DisplayFusion except on startup the desktop icons always move into a layout that I didn't have set. I did look into this problem earlier and went into Personalization and made it so no themes could change desktop icons as that was what several forums were suggesting. It worked for about 5 days and then it went back to the random layout. If I need to give any more information, I'd be happy to, help is appreciated! :)

I think this is due to the icons being too close to the right and bottom edges of the screen. When DisplayFusion adds the taskbar on the second monitor, it changes the work area, which causes Windows to re-adjust the icons based on however it calculates the desktop icon grid size. There are a couple of workarounds. You can right-click the desktop, and in the View sub-menu, disable the "Align icons to grid option," or you can save your desktop icon layout with DisplayFusion and have it automatically load on startup. Here are the steps for that:
  • Setup your icons the way you want them
  • Right-click the DisplayFusion tray icon, navigate to Desktop Icons > Save Profile > New Profile and save the layout
  • Open the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration
  • Click the Save button and save your monitor layout as a new Monitor Profile
  • Click the Manage Monitor Profiles button, and in that window, assign your Desktop Icon Profile to the Monitor Profile
  • Reboot to test it out

Hope that helps!

I had the same problem.
Yes, it works, But now I have to save the profile every time i move an icon on the desktop. That's also not very nice.
