Hi.

I was wondering if DisplayFusion could bring the same functionality of 'WinRoll'
http://www.palma.com.au/winroll/

This could be a TitleBar Button to 'rollup' window and only show its titlebar.

DisplayFusion is an awesome program. I've used free version and then buyed the full version.

Glad to hear you like DisplayFusion!

The rollup feature is on our request list, so I've added your vote to it.

Thanks!

This feature coming?
Looking forward for a way to pin a window, roll it up and to be able to just see the name of the window while rolled up.
Thanks.

It's still on our list but we don't currently have an ETA. I've added your vote, and we'll be sure to post an update when we do have an ETA on this feature.

Thanks!

Just a quick update, the latest DisplayFusion 7.0 Betas (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) have two new functions on the Settings > Functions tab: Rollup to TitleBar, and Rollup to Icon :)

Thanks!

Thanks for this awesome feature!

Skype (main and chat windows) still buggy, don't roll up, just move the bottom a little up)

As some maximized windows (noticed with chrome, mikrotik's the dude, process explorer, virtual box)

As a tip, I think you can "block" the window resize when It's rolled up - so nobody can mess up with it :)

Thanks again!

1. Skype doesnt seem to roll all the way up. (see video)
2. Firefox rollup is horrific, it gets lost between monitor 2 and 4... when clicking the rollup to titlebar button, it looses my custom size (vertically), and disappears, i have to click mouse on top of monitor 2 right below monitor 4's hide taskabar, then drag down, then i can see the firefox window, then i have to resize it again. (see video)

Link above is unlisted on youtube..only you and those in this thread can view.

thanks for the remote control options. SUPER COOL!

Thanks guys!

@Xtacybyme: Are you using a custom theme on Firefox? If so, which one? I can't reproduce that weird behaviour with the default Firefox theme on Windows 7.

I had this behavior with all betas, but only with maximized windows.

Did you upgraded to the latest stable version?

For me it's fixed (tried in several maximized windows).

Another thing to look: the relation between roll up and multi monitor positions (I have 3, but all side-by-side).

Do you have any vertical disposion?

Well that scared the daylights out of me. (had over 15 tabs open with projects i was working on) and decided to run a maximized test, and Firefox disappeared completely.
Steps I tried to get it back...
1. click on the upper part of monitor 2 and lower part of monitor 4 to get it back.. nothing.
2. moved the taskabr on monitor 4 to the left side, then tried clicking everywhere between the top of monitor 2, and lower part of monitor 4..nothing.
3. i then looked at the firefox icon in all taskabars from all 4 monitors, and none of them showed that firefox was running.
4. i then notice a hairline line going across monitor 4, so i tried clicking, dragging, double clicking, right clicking...nothing
5. i then opened task manager (applications) noticed firefox was indeed still running, i then right clicked it, and chose Switch to, Bring to front, Minimize, Maximize...Nothing, then i closed task manager, reopened it, and tried again starting with Bring to front, and instantly the firefox icon lit up again on monitor 2, and the maximized window reappeared on monitor 2.

*I always use firefox on monitor 2 and never use it maximized due to the gadgets i always have running, so never noticed this other issue you experienced until today.
*I'm on most recent version.

this was a scary test as well...
1. if moving firefox to monitor 1 (bottom monitor in restore down state) it behaves the same as monitor 2, getting stuck between monitor 1, and monitor 3, and the only way to get it back if in restore down state is by clicking the thin line and dragging down as shown in video, if maximized same loop of issues as mentioned above.
2. if moving firefox to top monitors (3 & 4 in restore down state) Firefox title bar jumps above the top 2 monitors onto my wall (off screen) but you can however see a hairline of the bottom of the firefox window, if you then drag down and carefully position your mouse at the very top of monitor 3,4 you can get lucky enough to get your mouse pointer at the very bottom of the title bar, to get your window back. (if in maximized state one must do the loop of troubleshoots mentioned above) .

not sure what you are asking, (sorry.) As shown in video if in restored state upon clicking the rollup window to titlebar horizontally the window/titlebar stays as set. vertically it does roll up as shown in video completely, and as expected (no weird issues as with skype) I am however noticing (and this maybe the cause/ or related to the issue) that in firefox window ONLY Everytime you click the rollup window to tilebar bar nothing happens (You must click it twice) The time frame between clicking it twice does not matter, so for example if i click the button once, nothing happens, and then wait, 10 seconds - 10 minutes the second time i click that button it will then roll up, however it will cause the issues mentioned. once i get the window back manually, then in order to roll up that window again, one must click the rollup button two times in order for it to roll up. No other windows/apps/programs seem to be doing this, they all roll up instantly and beautifully with one click (except for skype as mentioned already)

Hope this sheds some light
Thanks Guys

P.S. in hindsight, i should have went to firefox icon, and right clicked and chose to open new private window, and ran the tests with that. (Doh :P)

34.0.5 (Firefox is up to date)

not sure what kind of setup you/yours have there, but possible for me to send my prefs file to you guys maybe something in there is causing it, that would also show on your end?

For now though i just havent been using it in Firefox...too busy, not worth the hassle.

Ok, yeah, if you can send over your Firefox settings, I'll definitely import them here and try to reproduce this again :)

Ah, sorry. I thought you were asking about sending the Firefox settings :)

If you want to send over your DisplayFusion Settings, and Troubleshooting info, that would be great. Just attach a copy of the info from the Settings > Troubleshooting tab, as well as a settings backup (Settings > Options > Export Settings).

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and the Roll-Up to TitleBar function should work much better now :)

Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
