Hi
I would like the background color to change with the wallpaper so that it matches it in general color.
I remember seeing something like this implemented on a photo shareing site and think it would be really nice for displayfusion.
Thanks
Bill

This is currently on our Feature Request list, so I'll add your vote and we'll be sure to let you know if we're able to implement it in the future.

Thanks!

I would love to see this. I run monitors in portrait and it’s hard to find wallpaper that will match that aspect ratio.

What works well is finding wallpaper that has a centered image on a solid background. If I set the background color to the wallpaper’s main background color it looks great.

The biggest problem with this is I can’t auto cycle though wallpaper since I need a different background color for each wallpaper.
I’ve attached an example wallpaper of what I mean. Ideally, I could use this with “load random images”, and DisplayFusion would automatically pick out the green background color for this image.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that this should be a per-monitor option so that a different background color could be set on another monitor (or an independent auto background color could be used.)

No worries! If we're able to implement it, it would definitely be per-monitor :)

just adding my 2 cents worth.... i would also love this FEATURE REQUEST to have DF automatically choose/pick/match wallpaper background colors DEPENDING on the current wallpaper pic displayed.

THANKS for a great product, ME LIKEY !

Going to add my vote as well, this is pretty much the last thing I'm looking for in DisplayFusion until it reaches perfection.

If you want to know the (in my opinion) best implementation so far, check a comic viewing program called CDisplay. It's a free image/comic viewing program mainly designed to work with archived comics (rar and zip), and it does this magnificently IMO. In fact I've been using it to create landscape wallpapers from portrait images, by loading the image in the program, taking a screenshot, and saving that into one of my wallpaper folders (also have a few macros for this to get batches done).

I'm sure it's not the perfect way everyone would like to see it done, but it's pretty damn great if you ask me. =)

Thought I'd look into this thread again since it's been a while. Have you looked into this, is it a viable thing? =)

It's definitely possible, but we haven't had a chance to implement it yet. We will update if/when we do :)

Thanks!

Any news on this feature? Its been a couple of years already, was this removed from the feature list?

It's still open on the feature request list but a pretty low priority at the moment. We never really close feature requests unless they're impossible. If/when we're able to implement this we'll be sure to post an update.

Thanks!
