If I have DF set for single processor affinity (the default) and launch an application using the DF taskbar jump list, the new application instance will have its affinity set to a single processor. Launching applications using the DF taskbar by normal left click will launch the new application with full affinity. Setting DF to full affinity and launching applications using the DF taskbar jump list will launch the new application with full affinity. The launch behavior from the jump list seems to pull behavior from DF's setting. FWIW, launching from jump list on the windows taskbar launches in full affinity regardless of DF's affinity setting.

I'm currently experimenting with DF in full affinity and it seems to be stable and solves my issue but this is something that should be fixed so it doesn't effect other users. I don't know how long this has been happening, but I live in Visual Studio 2012 and I always launch with DF's jump list. This behavior was slowing down my builds by a factor of 3-4x costing me quite a lot of time and frustration.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue! I've added it to our list and we'll let you know when it's all fixed up :)

In the meantime, you should be safe to run DisplayFusion on all cores. We have it set to a single core by default because some machines ran into weird threading issues with multi-core, but I run mine on all cores and never have any trouble.

Thanks!
