I am running into an issue with using the Multi-Monitor Taskbars with Wildstar.

Here are some screenshot I took of what was going on.
https://forums.wildstar-online.com/forums/index.php?/topic/36535-incorrect-resolution-cant-change-wont-change/

Rare occassion with MM Taskbar enabled I am able to run the resultion I want and it is displayed on the correct screens.
But normally its some combination of wrong res, right screens or right screens wrongs res... etc.

I found that if I just disable the MM Taskbars everything works fine, its not the best solution, but it works.

Now I did just come across this post: http://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/feature-request-hide-multi-monitor-taskbar-if-fullscreen-app-is-running/?ID=35c9760c-6be4-4940-ae3a-6051b3dc282e

And the suggestion to the above post is to work with the compatibility tab to unload the taskbars when it sees the game.
I am going to go play around with that now, but just wanted to see if anything has changed since then.

Anyways, thanks for all the hard work, I love the software!

Edit***
After some playing around I found that those compatibility changes do not change the wonkiness with the resolution.
First I just put I rule to disable MM Taskbars when the game was detected. After I saw this didn't work I figure it was because the game was launching before DisplayFusion had a change to change the MM Taskbar to disabled.

My next thought was to also put a rule in for the Wildstar Launcher, the hope being that changing MM Taskbar to disabled before the game application was launched and this no more issue. - But this did not seem to work.

Maybe there is a delay between the two compatibility rules? After I press play on the Wildstar launcher does MM-Taskbars reenable before reading the next rule for Wildstar.exe?

As a side note if I disable MM Taskbars before launch and re enable them after launch I do not run into any issues.... unless I change my resolution.

It's possible that the taskbar could try to reload between the launcher and the actual game. Could you attach a debug log?
  • Enable debug logging on the Troubleshooting tab (set it to Logging: Important Only) and click Apply
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue (please note the time so I'll know where to look in the log file)
  • Attach the %appdata%\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.log file to this topic (can be found by clicking the 'Open Log' button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending me the log

Thanks!
