So I noticed since I installed 4.0, that sometimes when I'm in a full screen remote desktop session and I hit the minimize button, it minimizes, but then pops back up and I have to hit minimize 2-3 times for it to actually stay minimized. Anyone else have this happen?

We haven't had any other customers report this issue, but could you give the latest 4.0.1 Beta version a try to see whether the issue still exists?

Thanks!

I just installed it, and it might be coincidence, but it appears to be worse now. Before I never had to click minimize more than 2 or 3 times, but just now I had to click it at least 10 times for it to stay down.

Ok, is this happening with a full screen Remote Desktop Connection, or a windowed one?

Could you also do the following to help troubleshoot the issue?
  • Enable debug logging on the Troubleshooting tab (set it to Logging: Detailed) and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue (please note the time so I'll know where to look in the log file)
  • Send me the %appdata%\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.log file (can be found by clicking the 'Open Log' button on the Troubleshooting tab)
Thanks!

I have encountered this bug with 7.1!

I have recently installed this product. For full disclosure I am accessing the DisplayFusion computer via Remote Desktop using two monitors (two monitors showing the DisplayFusion machine) and *then* accessing a one-monitor only desktop (it is only Windows 7 Pro so cannot use all monitors for Remote Desktop.).

Attached is the log (for moderators and myself to see only). Let me know what else I can do.

Check @ 12:07.

Regards,

-Peter

We have a pretty good idea of what's causing this, so I've added it to our list and we'll get it fixed up as soon as we can. In the meantime, you can work around this issue by disabling the "Animate windows when minimizing and restoring" option in the Windows > System > Performance settings.

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
