I have found that when I right click my extended task bar and select close window on an application, it actually closes the application as opposed to closing the window and leaving the application running in the tray.

Here are some details...
  • I have tested this behavior with a handful of programs, but it only appears to happen with Microsoft Lync (and I'll never get Microsoft to release a patch for that).
  • It has been happening with the last handful of beta versions of DF (probably more, but I haven't payed attention that long).
  • Right click > close window on the native task bar closes the window properly and Lync returns to the tray.

Lync Version: v15.0.1675.1000
OS: Windows 8.1 Update
Display Fusion Version: 7.0.0 Beta 10-14 (maybe more)

Interesting! If you roll back to the last stable (6.1.2: http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/), does this still happen?

Well, now that 7 is officially released, I don't have an option to download v6. I'd gladly check if a link to the old installer is provided.

Sorry for the delay. The holidays caught up to me.

I was able to install v6.1.2 and I experience the same issue. if I right click > close lync, the entire application closes and does not return to the tray.

Ok, I'll get a copy of Lync setup and test this out here to see what we can do :)
