Hello,

first of all, I just downloaded DF and tried to improve my experience with nvidia surround and a 3 monitor setup. I really enjoy it, but unfortunately I ran into some problems and you may be able to help me. :)

I posted 2 screenshots of my settings so it's more understandable.
Unfortunately the screenshots are in german, hope that isn't a problem.

1. If I open a game like 'Heroes of the Storm' (where surround isnt supported), nvidia puts the game onto my middle screen as intended.
However if I use DF the game will be opened on the left screen and I need to switch it back to me middle one.
Did I do something wrong?

2. Some games are incredible bad in a surround setting, so I want it just to use the middle screen. However, since I use surround (3 monitors act as 1), the game is always on all 3 screens using fullscreen and/or windowed fullscreen.
Is there a way or workaround so some games just use the window region in the middle?
The window positioning tool isn't working, since I cant choose a window.

3. The same goes for VLC and flash player. Maximizing a Window works just fine, but putting VLC or flash player (youtube) in fullscreen just puts the video to all screens. I wish there would be a way to just put it to fullscreen to 1 window.

4. I still don't understand how to use different profiles effective. So I want a 3 single monitor setup all the time, except playing some games, where it should switch automatically into a surround setup (and maybe back when tab to desktop/exit the programm?)

Sorry if I got so many questions, but I couldn't find something useful ._.
Hope to hear some useful hints from the comunity and/or support staff.

Thanks for trying out DisplayFusion! I'll answer your questions as best I can :)

1. Does Heroes of the Storm run windowed? I'm not sure why it would be opening on the left monitor, but if it's windowed, you should be able to create a Window Location rule to have it open on the middle monitor.

2 and 3 are both the same answer, DisplayFusion can't constrain full screen games/video to a specific monitor in a Surround setup.

4. At the moment it's not possible for DisplayFusion to toggle Surround on and off, but we're hoping to add that in a future version :)

Thanks!

In surround there is a shortcut window which allows you set shortcuts to toggle surround and it works.

Ah, good point! I forgot about that option. It should actually be possible then, for us to write a scripted function that executes that shortcut key, then applies the Monitor Profile. I'll do some testing with this here to see if that can be done :)

Just a quick update on this. We need to add some stuff to the Scripted Functions API in DisplayFusion before I can make a script that will do this. I'll post an update as soon as we've got something working :)

Thanks!

I would appreciate a script :)
Otherwise I <3 DF so far!

Btw heroes of the storm launches in fullscreen windowed, but since the game wont allow such a resolution, it will be maxed to 1920x1080 on one screen. However, I just use "move to next screen" and it works.

We haven't had a chance to add the scripted functions needed for this yet. I'll keep you posted as soon as we and the script is ready.

Thanks!
