I just installed Steam in order to run Bioshock. However I can't seem to get it to run on the correct monitor. I have setup the monitor that I want to run the program on in Window Location, but that does not seem to have any affect.

How do I force Steam to run full screen in a specific window?

It's unfortunately not possible to force full screen games to a different monitor. You can however change the Primary monitor to the one you want to run the game on (you can create Monitor Profiles to swap the Primary monitor as well, so that you can change quickly via hotkey before starting the game).

Also, if the game has a Borderless or Windowed mode in the settings, you can enable that, and move the window using the Ctrl + Win + X hotkey.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for your reply.

I found another solution that actually works very well.

When you start the Steam application, switch it to full screen mode *before* you start the game. That way the game will start in the same monitor that the Steam application was started in.

Ah yes, that'll do it too. Steam actually switches the Primary monitor when entering Big Picture Mode :)
