I know, in Apr 2012 was a discussion about this wish.
Because I'm changing my workplace very often (means: the connected network and monitors is changing)
I use BGInfo to show the currently active network adapter, -speed and ip-address.
Tags in BGInfo:
host:<Host Name> (already implemented)
ip:<IP Address>
speed:<Network Speed>
ip-tag and speed-tag shows 3 items (2 LAN-adapters and 1 WLAN)
And as you mentioned: "As for the Info Tags in DisplayFusion, if you can let me know what tags you'd like to see added to them, we'll certainly add them to our feature request list."
My wish for the feature request list: 2 new info tags, ip and speed of the network-adapters
Thanks Martin, I'll add these to our feature request list and we'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to add them!

Hello, do you have any estimate when new info tags can be available?

In addition, The system's serial number and MAC address would be an important tag that should be added to this list.
Is there a way for us to possibly add these tags in the interim while we wait for the feature to be implemented fully by BF?
Thanks.

Keith,
I see in the Beta release that there are now tags present for the computer name, user name, and domain name. Do you anticipate Serial number and Mac address will make it into this Beta release?
Thanks!

Hey all,
Just wanted to throw in my two cents, and say that info tags for NIC IP and MAC addresses would be fantastic. Being able to specify specific NICs when you have more than one would be great as well.

+1 for NIC and IP address. Exceedingly handy features to have around.

Was just wondering if there was any kind of update on getting the Serial Number & MAC address options added.
Thanks,
None yet, sorry. We'll post an update when we are able to implement it though!
How do I access the image tags feature in the new beta? - do I have to have BG Info installed or is this a displayfusion feature now?

Under Desktop Wallpaper, choose Monitor Settings. Choose the Info tab, select Show info on this Monitor. Then select Add Info Tag, and under System, choose Network Information. The tag <sys-networkinfo> will be added to the information pane.

By the way Keith, it looks great! Thanks!
Thanks guys! @Wolverine, I've added that to our list. Thanks!
Is it possible to have different info tags displayed in different locations on a monitor?
e.g. sys-networkinfo in the top right, computer name top left. - if not could this be added?
Is there any way of adjusting the alignment of the tags? all lines are aligned per the location,
e.g. if top right (right aligned) if Center (centered)
BG info allows the info tags to be manually aligned or nudged with spaces etc to manipulate the display of the tag.
Any updates on being able to only display a selected network card vs all?

I've added a feature request to our list for more customizable locations for the info tags. We haven't had a chance to implement specific network card tags at the moment, sorry.

I, too, am a big user of BGInfo. One thing that is nice is the ability to write custom VB scripts that pull system information (i.e. calculating free mem in MB and as a %, same with disk space). It would be nice if something like this could be implemented, or at the very least, provide us info tags that show memory Total / Free and same for drives.
@Ernest: Do you use the wallpaper slideshow, or just a single image for the wallpaper? The reason I ask is because the wallpaper image info only updates when the wallpaper is generated, so live performance stats may not be very useful unless the wallpaper is set to change frequently.

I generally use a static wallpaper. BGInfo can be set run through Task Schedular to update on events (i.e. bootup), and every so many time periods (i.e. every 1 hour after initial run). It would be nice if this information can be set to update, at least on every boot. If at least that much was possible, I could live without free memory being shown, but drive space would be nice. Unfortunately, I'm unable to run both programs becuase BGInfo will override what DisplayFusion sets and replaces my wallpaper. There might be a setting I am missing there, I just haven't sorted that out I guess.
Yeah, running both won't work unfortunately. I will add those info tags to our feature request list.
Thanks!
