I am seeing two issues with displayfusion pro 7.2 both involving multi-monitor taskbars.

1. When pinning a Modern UI application to a secondary taskbar, it creates a shortcut to C:\Windows\System32\ApplicationFrameHost.exe and uses that exe's generic icon. The shortcut is nonfunctioning. I sometimes see this generic icon when simply positioning a ModernUI application on a secondary monitor as well. See http://i.imgur.com/6M6fCWu.png where the shortcut is shown and the icon is the one at the very top right of the screenshot.

2. Open application taskbar icons on secondary monitors look quite a bit different than they do on the main display. See examples:

Edit: Just noticed another one, which I believe to likely be related to the first issue here. When 2 Modern applications are open on a secondary monitor with displayfusion taskbars, they sometimes combine icons with the active, or most recently active, taking over the main icon and them both showing on the peek thing if you mouse over, see: http://i.imgur.com/Vo4E9d7.png

I've been able to reproduce all of these and have added them to our list, except for the Universal apps grouping, and the active taskbar button not having the highlight.

On my system, the active taskbar button has the correct highlight, just like the Windows taskbar. When you took that screenshot, was that Chrome window actually focused, or was it just the top-most application on that monitor, with an application on another monitor being focused?

Regarding the Universal apps grouping on the taskbar, is there a set of consistent steps to reproduce this?

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Sorry, I hadn't noticed your previous reply...

When I took the Chrome screenshot, it was active in both screenshots and this behavior continues into 7.3 B2. I'll do full screenshots this time to show what I mean along with the focused ones on the taskbar icons.

Here is active on main display in 7.3B2: http://i.imgur.com/1Mzgder.png & http://i.imgur.com/rRIR7Ut.png
and active on displayfusion taskbar on secondary monitor: http://i.imgur.com/0KDEYEd.png & http://i.imgur.com/vPa3may.png

The Universal apps grouping has happened to me a couple of times, but I haven't come up with a way to make it consistently reproduceable. It just seems to happen a couple of times. I didn't try 7.3 B1, but am on B2 now. Will have to see if it continues.

Thanks for working on these and getting everything working with Windows 10!

Ok, thanks! I'm definitely not seeing that same behaviour here. On mine the buttons highlight correctly. Could you send me a screenshot of the Windows Settings > Personalization > Colors tab? I wonder if it has to do with some of the settings there.

Sure.

As you can see, I have the dark grey in the lower right of the screenshot manually selected.

If I enable automatically chosen color, and apply it to 'Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center' then I see proper highlighting.
See: http://i.imgur.com/4W2LkTR.png

That got me thinking so I went back to manual and chose a lighter color and again I see proper behavior. http://i.imgur.com/pGcENGm.png

I then re-selected the dark color and the behavior seems to be continuing correctly. http://i.imgur.com/5rOeOe8.png Again, this is with 'Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center'. If I turn off that setting, it reverts to the behavior I was seeing before.

Perfect, thanks! That is definitely the problem, as I can reproduce the same behaviour here now with that setting disabled. I've added this to our list and we'll be sure to let you know when it's all fixed up :)
