You know what? I think I might know what it is too. I think it happens when the Windows background slideshow image advances. I have it set to do that every 30 minutes and I noticed the background on another screen changed when the blink occurred. So I advanced it manually and sure enough, there it was. And if I did it again with Groupy 2 disabled, it didn't happen. Hopefully this gives us something to point at.

Also, over in the Stardock thread, one of their managers is watching and said they are more than happy to work with you if there is a product conflict issue.

Cheers!
The only application crash events I'm seeing in the log are mostly related to my YouTube Music Desktop App, which seems to generate a silent crash every time I close it. Nothing Explorer related. The behaviour manifests so fast (it's basically a flash of the taskbar) that I don't think anything crashing. But it feels like something is just resetting the taskbar element. Which is odd because Groupy 2 doesn't integrate with the taskbar as far as I know.

If you open your Application Event log, do you see anything listed for explorer.exe crashing? It should be under event ID 1000.

Hey folks. I originally created a thread on the Stardock forums that I'm crosslinking to this one as well.

I've been using Groupy 2 since it launched. However, I've run into a strange problem that is impacting both a desktop and laptop. When Groupy is active, once in a while, my Windows taskbar will quickly disappear and reappear, almost like Explorer was restarted, though I don't believe it was. When this happens, my Microsoft Teams will flash the warning it puts up when you go in Do Not Disturb mode, which usually happens when doing something like starting a game. The only real commonality between my desktop and laptop is that they both use NVIDIA graphics (3080 on the desktop, 3060 mobile on the laptop), but other than that, their configurations are quite different.

This never happened with Groupy 1 and I confirmed after this issue began that if I close Group 2 or DisplayFusion, the issue stops. Stardock said that you have both worked together to solve issues in the past so they suggested I post here. Thanks.
