With the Windows taskbar, clicking the taskbar icon brings up the top most Window (most recently viewed) when you have focused on a different application and DF does the same.

But when you have more than two Windows for a single application (let's say 5) and have one on top (W1). (The rest are W2, W3, W4, W5). If you use the hover preview to bring up W4 and then click on the taskbar icon, W1 comes back up in Windows. But in DF, it is like the Windows are in a fixed order, and W5 will come up instead, even though the most recent previous window was W1.

This means when I click on an icon stack in the taskbar, it switches to the last open window for that application, and subsequent clicks brings older windows to the foreground.

I am positive this used to work on the DF Taskbar as well, but it stopped sometime recently. For example, if I have two Explorer Windows open to different folders, and I click the icon, it shows one of the Explorer Windows. If I click the icon again, it minimizes that Window. It never brings the second Window to the front.

This is different from the Windows taskbar and different from how I remember it working in DF 10? ]]>
