We've done some extensive testing across a few different machines here but we can't seem to reproduce it, so we're a bit stuck. We're going to leave this open on our list and see if we come across anyone else with the same issue, hopefully with some more information we'll be able to track it down. You can stay on v10.1.2 in the meantime if that works for you.
Both my profiles have "No target scalling (recommended)" selected, on the newer version I tried with different settings but none fixed the issue. What it seems to be happening is that on the older version when I switch to the 16:9 resolution it informs the screen that the new resolution is now 16:9 and not 32:9 anymore but on the newer version this doesn't seem to happen and even if the screen get streetched or centered the screen info is still telling the display that it is still using 32:9.

If so, you might need to re-save the profile with the newer version of DisplayFusion if you get the monitor looking correct open the DisplayFusion Monitor Config window and save the configuration as your 1080p profile. Then try loading this and see if it works. Thanks!

Using 11.2 beta the issue is still the same, after changing my monitor to split screen trying to change the target scalling directly only change how the screen fills the distorted rectangle in the middle of the screen as if it was still trying to use a 32:9 screen.

Trying to do the same directly from Windows also didn't work, changing scalling or other settings on Settings > Display behaved the same.

Using NVIDIA Control Panel worked, I had to change to a different resolution and back again to 1920x1080 with 59hz and this time it did adjust the screen correctly filling just half of my screen.

My steps to reproduce the issue:

- First my computer is running in fullscreen using the entire ultrawide monitor using my DisplayFusion profile for 3840x1080 resolution and everything is working fine
- Before changing my monitor mode I first switch to my 1920x1080 profile, in version 10.1.2 the screen gets streetched using my entire monitor at this point. When I do this with the newer version my screen stays centered without any streetching with my original settings but I can force it to streetch by changing the target scalling settings
- After DisplayFusion is in its 1920x1080 profile I go to my monitor and change my Picture By Picture settings to divide my display with half the screen using as source my PC and the other half my Console. On version 10.1.2 it works as intended, on the newer version my monitor seems to still be interpreting my PC as if the original resolution is 3840x1080, if it is not using target scalling it stays centered in the middle of the screen and when it has target scalling turned on it streetches as a rectangle with black bars on top and bottom without using the entire 1920x1080 area it is supposed to use

I did not test trying to close DisplayFusion completely and change my PC output directly but I don't see why it wouldn't work considering that with an onder version of DisplayFusion it works, it would be just like if I was setting up my PC to work with a 1920x1080 monitor.

Edit: just an extra, I don't do anything different when testing, if I run the installer for version 10.2.1 everything just works, to make the issue happen I just need to run the auto updater and then it will fail to properly switch to a 1920x1080 resolution using the exact same profiles because I don't lose any of my settings doing this, to roll back I just run the installer again for version 10.2.1 and it reverts everything back to normal as well without the need for me to adjust any settings in DisplayFusion and it just start to work again without issue. The monitor I'm using is ASUS XG49V, I believe the only other difference but probably doesn't have anything to do with it is that in 3840x1080 it runs at 144hz and in 1920x1080 it runs at 60hz because when my monitor is using PBP it limits the frequency to 60hz.

Hi Danilo, I'm working on fixing this issue and I just have a few questions so we can try to sort this out:

1. From your last post when you ran the utility was your monitor set as a full ultrawide or was it split in 2? We need to get the info while it's split in 2 parts with your console on the right side.

2. Are you using the DisplayFusion Monitor Config or Monitor Profiles at all or are you using Windows to configure your monitor layout?

Thanks!

Edit: Not sure if this helps but on 10.1.2 when I switch profiles my screen blinks a couple of times, probably notifying the screen resolution changes to the monitor, this does not happen on the newer version, the screen just changes without any blinking

Hi,

I have an ultrawide monitor 32:9 with 2 different profiles, one to use it as ultrawide with the native aspect ratio of 32:9 and another one to load the screen as 16:9 so I can split my monitor in two to use my computer and get my console on the other half, this worked perfectly until the last update and now when I go to my 16:9 profile it no longer can fill the entire area and it still send to my monitor as if the screen was supposed to be 32:9.

I'm pretty sure that I was using the scale to fit settings before so the image would force fit when using the split screen mode but now it just stay as a small square in the middle of the screen or stretched as if it was still in 32:9, attached an image trying to ilustrate what is going on.

Am I doing something wrong? How can I get this working again? This is a big problem for me because I use this both to play my console as well as when I have to share my screen with someone else since sharing a 32:9 screen makes it unreadable for anyone with a normal 16:9 monitor but it seems that none of the scaling settings are fixing this.

Thanks!

Edit: just an update, I downgraded back to DisplayFusion 10.1.2 and it is now working again so it really is something that changed on v11.0 released today that broke it
