Would you be able to install the new version and see if your issue still happens? If the issue still exists can you gather another round of debug info for us using these steps?

- Make sure you're running the new test build
- On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
- Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
- Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
- Reply with the file attached
- Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks for your help with this issue!

Helpful for me to test with this version as well? This fix attempts to address this issue as a whole, or just the issue BTA was having?

Happy to try one of the BETAs if more testing would help out.

Thank you for the quick updates, sadly it still does not work correctly. The behaviour has changed though, it now clones screens instead of disabling them.

For the log file:
Between about 13:57 and 14:16 local. (-> = changed into / hope this formating is clear for you?)
1. Started at neutral all monitors on state (2 / 1 / 3 / 4) -> 2+4 / 1 / 3 -> tried to disable 3 = 2+4 / 1+3

2. (for this one I starting to doubt if I missed the "Keep changes" button) Used normal windows settings to go back to neutral -> "profile: Bureau" -> profile: TV/Boven/Beamer = No changes in end result still "profile: Bureau" layout.

3. Tried again to go from: "profile: Bureau" -> profile: TV/Boven/Beamer = 1+2+3+4 (all screens duplicated, in windows setings shown as 1+2 as I think it duplicated 1+3 and then duplicated this with 2+4 into 1+2+3+4?)

4. Used Windows settings to go back to 2+4 / 1 / 3 and tried to unduplicate 2+4 = Long wait where it tried (screen 4 flikkered on and off multiple times) but eventually failed and stayed in 2+4 / 1 / 3.

Hope this helps, if you need any further clarifications and / or info let me know.

I did some further testing and it seems like the main problem comes from something to do with duplicated displays.
I was able to correctly enable or disable separate screens as long as no screen was duplicated. But as soon as I had either "Display 2 + 4", "Display 2 + 3" or "Display 4 + 3" as duplicated it started to fail being able to disable other displays or unduplicate them etc.
Please let me know if I can be of any more assistance, but I will probably not be able to reply untill next year.

Yeah, as I said I have a pretty unconventional set-up that took some workarounds to get functional, that is also why I am so happy for a program like DisplayFusion to help me with this.

"Monitor 1" is a MSI Optix MPG341CQR 34" 1440P 21:9 Ultra Wide Monitor.

"Monitor 2" is actually a 3 way splitter that goes to a 1080P 27" IIYAMA monitor and a 1080P Epson Beamer (no fixed screen size). These might be on or off independently from each other. To get around Windows annoying hotswap / monitor on/off detection it also has a "HDMI Dummy Plug Headless Ghost 4K Display Emulator" plugged in the splitter.

"Monitor 3" is a 1080P 21" Dell standing vertically.

"Monitor 4" is actually a splitter that then goes to 2 different models of 55" Samsung 4K TV's. For this one to get around Windows hotswap detection it is connected to the computer via a "hacked" Female to Male HDMI Adapter that blocks the hotswap signal.

If I remember correctly my Receiver is outside of this loop and only recieves the audio from the computer via a optical toslink connection.

I did make a couple of changes to my set-up somewhat recently, but it still worked for a while after and the set-up before that was pretty compairable and worked fine for a long time.

Please let me know if I can help with any more information.

(Please excuse any spelling issues, Dyslectic and English is not my first language + no spell checker here)

We have just released a new test version that we hope will fix this issue. You can download it from here:

https://www.binaryfortress.com/Data/Download/?Package=displayfusion&test-11.0.6=1

Thank you for this information, it's very helpful! This looks like a monitor ID issue so I'm trying to understand your hardware setup. In your "TV Only" profile you have "1_QCQ95_16780800_SAM_29502_2023_1_54.5" stored as the ID, can you tell me what that would be? Is it a 54.5" TV, and if so what brand? DisplayFusion is seeing these devices connected:

- 1_MSI MPG341CQR_808466260_MSI_15776_2020_10_34
- 2_EPSON PJ_16843009_SEC_42244_2007_46_72.5
- 3_DELL P2211H_1129728083_DEL_16481_2011_11_21.5
- 4_SAMSUNG_16778753_SAM_3072_2014_42_54.5

I'm assuming #4 here is the one that DisplayFusion should be loading but for some reason the IDs are totally different and it can't match it. What would QCQ95 be, is that an amp or splitter or something? The format for the stored ID is:

{# id}_{make model}_{serial number}_......_{display size)}

So the only thing that's matching here is the size but there aren't any other displays that are even close to a match. Any extra info here would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hope I did it right, did not see an "Aplly" after selecting "L1: Log Minimal", so asume it does that automaticly. I do have a pretty weird set-up with 3 Computer screens, 2 TV's and a beamer hooked up with various splitters and duplicators. But it worked fine before.

Local time (CET (UTC+1)):
~18:50: tried going from profile "TV/Boven/Beamer" (Monitor 2 + 4 Duplicated) to profile "TV Only" (Monitor 4 only). Recieved "Keep changes" box but Monitor 2 + 4 where still Duplicated.

~18:51: tried to go from "TV/Boven/Beamer" (Monitor 2 + 4 Duplicated) to profile "Bureau" (Monitor 2 + 4 Duplicated / Monitor 1 Enabled / Monitor 3 vertical Enabled).
Recieved "Keep changes" box but still only Monitor 2 + 4 where Duplicated while others where disabled.

~18:52: Tried again, same result.

~18:55: (First "manually" enabled Monitor 1 & 3, this worked) Tried to disable Monitor 1 "manually". Recieved "Keep changes" box but monitor was still enabled.

~18:56: Tried to disable Monitor 3 "manually". Recieved "Keep changes" box but monitor was still enabled.

Hope this helps, if more is needed let me know. Hope you guys can fix it soon as I make all these switches multiple times a day, but first have a good new years / holidays.

I did notice a new version dropped! However I'm still seeing the same issue. Debug output is attached.

I attempted at around 11:30 AM EST. I did two tasks, one I knew would be succesful, in case that helps to provide any more debug data to suss out.

- Tried to disable monitor 2 (failed, same as before)
- Switched Monitor 2 from Portrait (flipped) to Landscape (it worked), and then I chose to not keep settings, and it reverted fine

I think it prolly has a lot to do with the TV being involved in the equation, as my setup is similar and I use my TV as a display pretty often. Either that or something about it being HDMI when my two actual monitors are DP.
