I found a workaround for this problem (involves paying for more software though). If you install Stardock's Start11, go to Start11 Configuration, then Control, then set "Open the Start11 menu on the screen the mouse pointer is on" to "On". Now the start menu will always open on the screen the mouse pointer is on, even when you have Monitor Fading and Multi-Monitor Taskbars enabled in Displayfusion.

Ok, confusing results. Going back to 10 or 10.1.1 or 10.1.2 didn't fix it so I thought it must be my new setup. But then I tried a 2021 version, which wouldn't run because it didn't copy the licence key into the install. I bought DF through Steam, so I installed the version on there, which I think is still 10.1.2. At that point the issue DIDN'T occur. I've since updated to the latest version again and the issue hasn't returned. I THINK what happened is that upon installing the 2021 version, it reverted the settings to default (certainly at least some settings were changed). And those reverted settings carried over to the Steam download and then to the latest version. So I guess what I need to do is play around with the settings and try to recreate the problem.

With monitor fading on, when I click on the windows icon to open the start menu in a secondary monitor that is in focus (or press the windows key), that monitor fades out and the main monitor comes into focus. I think this started after the major update a few weeks back. But I did change to an ARM system not long before the update so maybe it is related to that. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to get previous versions to troubleshoot?<br/>

Thanks
