Quote:
I am actually having the inverse problem.
My 49" 5120x1440 Monitor is split into two sections as well: 3440x1402 and 1680x1402. The 1402 instead of 1440 is, so I see my Taskbar at all times (except for true fullscreen games).

Normally I play WoW on the 3440x1402 part in "Fullscreen (Windowed)" mode, so I can have discord etc. on the side. It used to work that WoW automatically maximized to this part when I started it.
Since upgrading to Displayfusion 12.0.1 (not sure if it was the case on 12.0 as well), the game always opens over my whole screen. I then have to go into the game options, select "Windowed" instead of "Fullscreen (Windowed)" and then switch back to make it maximize the way I want it.
So I either have to do this every time (or use the macro SSobka posted twice) I launch the game or play in Windowed mode and maximize the window, which has the disadvantage that I can accidently click the title bar on top of the screen and defocus the game window, when I don't lock my cursor to the window (which I don't want to do)

Confiming I am doing something similar where I also need to click the macro twice (sometimes, but not always).
My procedure is usually something like the below.

If I want to EXIT out of WOW FullScreen Borderless:
First, I click the macro to bring me into ("Windowed Mode with Borders").
Then I either move the window where I want it (ALT + LEFT ARROW) or just resize it as needed.

When I want to ENTER into WOW FullScreen Borderless:
I SHIFT-CLICK the MAXIMIZE button on the Wow window first, to get it close to my screen max.
I click the macro to remove the borders and bring WOW into full screen mode - no borders.

Quote:
Could you send me a backup of your settings? You can grab them in the DisplayFusion Settings Window > Options > Export Settings.

Thanks!

Owen / Fritolaid,

I think I found a workaround using a MACRO in-game. It's not perfect, but it does accomplish allowing me to use WoW in FullScreen (Borderless) across my entire monitor (3440 x 1440) and still splitting my monitor into two splits (1720x1440) each.

As mentioned, WoW works great the first time you launch it after adding the monitor splits, but each subsequent time it did not work. Here's the workaround:

1. Add this Macro to WoW, make sure the quotes don't covert to smart-quotes.

Code

Copy

Select All

# Allows Swapping Full/Windowed Mode with DisplayFusion

/run SetCVar("gxMaximize", "1" == GetCVar("gxMaximize") and "0" or "1");
/console gxrestart

2. Bind the macro to a key or just add it to a shortcut bar.

3. Run the Macro when you want to toggle in/out of Windowed/Windowed (Borderless).

4. Once in Windowed mode (with borders) you can use Owen's suggestion of SHIFT + Maximize or any other menthod of manipulating windows (I have some triggers/functions in Displayfusion to move the windows to a specific split).

5. Once you want to jump back to Windowed (Borderless), just maximize Wow in Windowed mode and run the macro.
It will bring you back to Windowed (Borderless).

No need to run WoW in "Windowed Mode" anymore!

Agreed, I'm getting very similar results. It worked the first time, but went back to the original behaviour. It's not always the same results either. Sometimes it comes up on one screen and looks 'normal' for one screen. Sometimes it comes up on one screen and everything is stretched, looking like an extremely low resolution. Sometimes it's on all monitors, but again, the resolution looks wrong and it's distorted. It varies.

Confirming the new 12.0 Beta 9 still does not work (but it almost does).
Upon WoW first launch, I went into Windowed Full Screen Mode (what I expected) yay.
Game worked fine, I could even move it between my Window splits and back to full screen without issue.
While the game was still in full-screen windowed mode, I closed it (like I normally would).

Upon re-launching the game, it's now only launching into my 1.1 Monitor split and will only let me move it between the 1.1 and 1.2 splits, not take up the full screen anymore. (Not what I want).

I just captured a log while I opened the game. The game at first opens to all three spanned monitors, and looks good up to character selection. Then, after selecting my character and starting to login, it moves the game to a single monitor (left most of the three) and loads the rest of the way. I also note that on screen text in the game is absolutely tiny, while the graphics seem to be OK. I did this at approximately 11:06am. (should be about the only thing in the log)
