It will look for the monitor ID to move them.

DisplayFusion will save it as a normal function, so you can run it with the command line tool. You'll use the -functionrun "FunctionName" argument. We have a guide on using the command line tool here as well: https://www.displayfusion.com/HelpGuide/DisplayFusionCommandLineTool/

Creating custom functions sounds really useful!
Can these functions be invoked directly via the CLI? If so, could you point me to a working demo where a custom function moves the current window to a specific monitor split — for example, split 2.3?

Also, I’m curious: how do these custom functions determine where to send the window? Are the destination splits identified based on how the splits are enumerated internally?

For context, I use multiple multi-monitor setups, and I’ve been using the same DisplayFusion profile/configuration across different computers. Would custom functions be able to adapt automatically to different monitor configurations?

Specifically, I can only send windows to regions 1 and 3 using the number keys. Pressing "2" doesn’t seem to have any effect. Also, when I press "1", the window is always sent to region 1.1 by default. To move a window into regions like 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, or 2.2, I still have to use the mouse.

Just an idea: it would be nice to "name" the splits and then use A–Z keys to indicate the destination monitor split. ]]>
