Yes, it started happening after I began using DF. Before that, the laptop never lagged when disconnecting from the monitor, and connecting to a new monitor, or using it without a monitor.

Initially, DF was auto-detecting, but now it has stopped. I think you're right; deleting and recreating the profile might resolve this issue.

Is there a way to control scaling settings in Windows throug DF? My laptop has a 4K display, but the external monitors I'm using are not 4K. I believe the scaling is causing issues, and I'd like to set different scaling levels for the laptop and the monitors.

Hello,

1. Does this only happen while DisplayFusion is running? Windows handles adding/removing monitors, so DisplayFusion shouldn't have any effect on this

2. DisplayFusion should auto detect the profile if it finds a match. Something may have changed on the back end so it's not detecting it, try deleting and recreating the profile. You should see a green "Detected Profile" box inthe upper left corner of the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window

I have a high-end gaming PC with a 4K display, and I use a Xiaomi curved monitor (which is not 4K). I purchased Display Fusion Pro to help adjust my scaling settings when I connect or disconnect the external monitor.

Problem 1:
When I connect the monitor, everything works normally. However, when I disconnect the monitor, my entire system slows down. Apps fail to open, everything lags, and I’m forced to shut down my PC manually to resolve the issue.

Problem 2:
If I start my PC without the external monitor connected, and later connect it, the system does not switch to the monitor’s profile or apply the required settings. This is extremely frustrating.

Could someone please guide me on what I might be doing wrong or how I can fix these issues? Any help would be appreciated!
