Sorry I missed #4 there! I would recommend using the Triggers for this. You can create a trigger for all applications that maximizes the window on open. You can do quite a bit more here too but start there and see if that helps.
is this a custom trigger ? nvm ill look for it thank you!

2. You could try the "Monitor Fading" feature and play around with some options there. It may not be quite what you're looking for but it can blank out parts of the desktop not used by the current app window.
3. In general DisplayFusion can't mess with game window the same as application windows. Games create render targets that they're aware of. If DisplayFusion changes that it can cause all kinds of issues unfortunately.

thank you for takign time to respond!

1. this was not a display fusion issue, the issue was playnite itself , it was minimizing itself at game launch. i changed that behaviour in playnite settings and now it does not minimize so after i launch a game and close it playnite shows up. So this is resolved.

2. Ill take a look at this. i thought this was a feature for a multi monitor setup. since i want the splashscreen only for when my tv is active, can i configure the monitor fading to only trigger when for one display? ill take a look as well

3. understood.

4. any thoughts on this?

I have several questions regarding a bunch of different things. I am having a lot of trouble googling the right thing to get to the right documentation lol so maybe someone can help me point in the direction

1. windows tab order: how does windows order the opened tabs? in the same token can display fusion manipulate this order?

so what im trying to get at is that for example, if i have a game running and i exit out of it sometimes the desktop focuses up. But the last opened window was not the desktop. it was playnite for example. Now playnite then detects that i exitted out of my game so it switches focus back to itself eventually. But it should not have to do that. it should be in focus after i exit the game. IS there a way to force chronological latest first order for focus on all open windows? sort of like how it works in the nw xbox handheld gaming mode microsoft released.

2. is there a splash screen i can implement in display fusion that hides the desktop (like the main desktop where all icons are and you see the system tray and dock etc) and only shows it if i alt tab to the desktop specifically or only exits the splashcreen using a specific keybind? im trying to see if i can make it so that the only things i see on my TV setup is playnite or the apps i specifically open from it. And when i switch to my desk setup i can disable the splash screen with a keybind (or a display fusion function/trigger/profile combo)

3. is there a way to force borderless fullscreen/fake full screen on games that launch in fullscreen? I use a lot of software that messes things up if games run in fullscreen. for example i use rewasd with my controller to open a radial menu of different utilties like opening windows on screen keyboard and such if say i need to input text in a game. But when a game is running fullscreen rewasd cant render the radial menu properly and if i use my controller back button shortcut to open up the windows on screen keyboard the windows keyboard shows up but because the game is running in fullscreen it just minimizes the game and the windows keyboard just shows up with the desktop in the background. sometimes it just doesnt work altogether. i could change this in game settings manually but sometimes the game does not remember these settings (it may be because i also have a desk setup that i use a keybind to switch to and play some of my games there or i use moonlight to play my games too sometimes and because the game detects its a new monitor it just defaults to fullscreen again i might be wrong tho) and its annoying having to switch back all the time

4. this one is one annoying thing i just cant figure out. Everytime new window or app (like a browser or something) or even explorer opens its always a small window slightly off center or something. Windows does not even remember the last window size it seems it just opens everything in a small window. is there a way to force maximum window size on new app windows ?

i am comfortable writing ps1/vbs/cmd scripts if needed and id prefer sticking to using display fusion and windows utilities and rewasd instead of having to download auto hotkey for example. I have way too many things installed on my system as is and im alreayd having trouble keeping track of keybinds i use for different things
