Quote:
Apologies for the very delayed response. Sample scripted functions are provided on a best effort basis and with the backlog of support from the holidays, we haven't had a chance to work on these yet. I hear you on the post not being acknowledged and we'll make sure to do that in the future.

For your first request this can be acomplished with two scripted functions and Window Created/Process Created and Process Ended triggers. The first scripted function presses the ALT button, the other releases it. The triggers will control when these functions get used. Below is a screenshot of these triggers set up for Battlefield 6:

For your second request this can also be done with a scripted function to end the Steam process and a Process Ended Trigger. You'll need to set up a new Process/Window created trigger for each of the games you would like steam to exit with. Below is a screenshot of a trigger I've set up for Factorio:

NotFound:close steam trigger.png

I've attached all of the scripts necessary to this post. You can import them via the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions > Scripted Function > Import Scripted Function.

To set up the triggers, you can create a new Trigger by pressing the DisplayFusion Settings > Triggers > Add button, and copying the examples from this post.

Hello, thanks for the help. I gave up on regularly checking in on this post until today, but I appreciate you putting in the time and effort addressing my question and even writing the scripted functions for me. I'll give them a go soon, thanks again for getting back to me in the end.

It is very disheartening to see my thread go unanswered in a sea of requests that have been completed on the day of or at least received a follow-up from support. I use this software daily and have recommended it to friends in the past, and from what I've seen on here staff is always quick to get back to people. I don't know what makes my post different, but even a response to say it's not possible would be appreciated instead of nothing at all.

Hello

I'd like to know if it's possible to have two specific scripts run whenever I launch a game, one for convenience and the other for stability.

The first is more important since I've been having the problem for a while now; it seems some games like Resident Evil 5 and apparently Battlefield 6 currently are having problems with either game registering input or worse performance that can both be fixed by holding down the ALT modifier at all times. Is it possible through DisplayFusion that I can have it so it's held down whenever the game's window is focused?

The second is simply to end all Steam processes gracefully whenever a game's process is created that doesn't require Steam to be running, like DRM-free games or games on other launchers. If they can't all be ended graceully then terminating them also works for me. I know there's a scripted function available right now that does what I want, but it's only for when a Window is closed it looks like.

Thanks, I hope to hear back from someone soon.
