We do have an open ticket for building a unique ID for each monitor based on a bunch of factors, but it's not currently planned. I've added your info to that ticket and we will definitely follow-up if we do implement that in the future.
Thanks!

That's a shame as it would have solved my biggest issue with this app. Building a unique ID sounds like a good way to do it but sadly it doesn't seem like it'll see the light of day. Thanks for responding though.

Currently, the Desktop Wallpaper feature matches the wallpaper settings to the monitor by the monitor number. For whatever reason, this number can change despite the monitor positions not changing (unsure if this is a DF bug or Windows). I would like to request an option for the Wallpaper settings to match the monitor's name. I will gladly test any builds and provide feedback.

Monitor names can be found using powershell:

get-pnpdevice | where {$_.class -like "Monitor"} | select -ExpandProperty hardwareid
