Regarding the screen savers for the Windows Lock Screen, we have just a short whitelist of screen savers, because most screen savers don't work at the Windows Lock Screen, including the built-in Windows ones, as they use DirectX which doesn't work at the lock screen.

Please let us know if you have any further questions at all.

Thanks!

excellent, you answered everything! FWIW as i mentioned my preference is for the portable. I had assumed the lack of preview was due to such, apparently not. However that line of thinking got me concerned regarding what else i might be missing out on.

all i could drum up via google was an old thread you posted in mentioning the context menu, the lock screen (screensavers i think?), and the functions/titlebar buttons.

i can report that the functions and titlebar buttons seem to work fine. The context menu however does not. The lockscreen (whichever part you mentioned) I did not test as its of least importance to me.

Wouldnt it be possible to package the portable with a script to register the dll/service? I tried to identify which it was and attempt to take things into my own hands (with knowledge barely bordering on rudementary) but after a half-arsed glance and a couple of toddlers, decided it wasnt worth the time investment

interestingly enough, you mentioned it needed elevation to do the aforementioned. I use a shortcut in my startup folder to an elevated task in task manager to start with windows, so its running elevated (was necessary as it wouldnt move some windows without it) and as such, may be the reason why at least the function/titlebars are working. As for the context menu, no idea why that wont work in my instance as portable. Must go beyond simple elevation.

Appreciate your time and help

So im going to attach an image showing what I get when trying to set up dual monitor screensaver(s).

It appears to work, but I get no preview.

I am using a portable version of displayfusion, would that be the culprit? Also launching it as admin due to some windows refusing to move with the Window Management unless I do so (however i doubt this has any relevance)

assuming this is a ramification of running portable (hope not as thats been my preferred means of running for a LONG time) it appears all settings are saved in the registry yes?

So if i were to delete my DisplayFusion folder and install instead, i wouldnt lose anything?

thanks for your time and help!

also, one more inquiry. This is gonna turn into my AIO screensaver thread. The "screensaver at windows lock screen" only appears to have the displayfusion screensavers. None of the M$ ones nor ones in which I placed the .scr in system32 manually. How do I get the ones I want to appear there as well?
