There is an update and I thought I'd share it.

The makers of Radmin have released a new version and this one works fine with Display Fusion. All the auto move and scale features work fine with Radmin Server installed.

I re-installed Radmin Server and the move scale stopped working properly. Uninstalled it, and the move scale works perfectly again.

I had been trying some other trouble shooting ideas as I had been noticing some other odd display behavior. I decided to uninstall the native Intel HD Graphics driver and re-install. When I opened the Device Manager to uninstall the driver, I saw a third display driver I had forgotten about; a "mirror" display driver for the Radmin server I run on my machines to enable remote access, file transfer, etc.

I had forgotten this virtual display driver gets installed with the server. I thought I'd go ahead and uninstall the Radmin server (I don't really need it on my laptop) and see what happened. Every window I've tried so far, including those I knew had problems, now move and resize without a problem. So, the Radmin mirror display driver seems to be the culprit I think. I have yet to verify the effect on the other odd display behavior I was seeing, but I suspect a lot of issues have now been cleared up.

I do truly appreciate your help.

The time was approximately 1938 hours.
1. I enabled log minimal.
2. I hit the move/scale 75% button on a FireFox window. Note that Firefox moves and scales properly doing this.
3. I opened a Gnu Emacs window and did the move/scale. It moved/scaled incorrectly.
4. I saved the debugging information to a zip file.
5. I am attaching the debugging information to this post.

It is odd to me that only some application windows misbehave with no obvious connection between them.

Just wanted to check and make sure that wasn't the case here.

I can't reproduce the same behaviour here, unfortunately. Could you send me a full debug log for this?

On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
Disable debug logging after sending the log

Hello Keith,

First, what does it mean that system scaling is 125% but the monitors are 100%?

Second, I opened display properties and set both monitors to 125%, rebooted. The window move/scale is still broken trouble shooting data attached.

I also tried setting one or the other monitor to 100% and the second to 125%, and the monitor that is scaled to 125% in the Windows display settings doesn't move/scale properly, but the monitor scaled to 100% does.

Hello Keith,

Thank you for your help. I did a complete uninstall of DF 8, and a new install of DF 9 Beta. The scaling problem still exists. Some application windows scale fine and others will not scale properly on a monitor with other than 100% scaling selected in the Windows display settings.

I'm attaching the troubleshooting data from the settings if that helps.

As an example, using the center and scale to 75% function when the monitor is scaled at 125% will move the window to what would be the center at 100% and scales it to a size appropriate to a 100% scaling. The result is a window that is too big for the monitor's display and the window is offset to one side and disappears off the bottom of the screen.

It doesn't happen with all applications. For example, Firefox, Kindle, and TeX Studio work fine, but Libre Edit, iTunes, and Gnu Emacs do not.

All applications seem to work fine on any monitor that is scaled to 100%.
