Hi everyone, I just started using Display Fusion and I'm trying out the monitor splitting for the first time and I had a question. I'm splitting my monitor in 2 parts (top and bottom) on a portrait oriented monitor so each virtual monitor is more or less square.
I haven't played around with it much yet, but I do notice that it snaps my windows properly so that's good, but I did notice that I don't have 2 taskbars (even though the option is selected) nor 2 backgrounds. I didn't think much of this as it isn't really important to me and the snapping of windows seems ok.
My concern started when I tried to fullscreen a VM in VMWare Workstation. I assumed it would fullscreen to the virtual monitor (so half the screen), but it still takes up the whole monitor. So my question is: is this normal? And if it isn't, what steps can I take to troubleshoot this? I'm wondering if it could be related to my lack of duplicated taskbar/background.
I'm not sure what information everyone needs to help me diagnose this, but for starters I'm running Windows 11 and have a Radeon RX590.
Any help is appreciated!
Edit: Looks like it's not just VMs that are the issue. I just tried fullscreening a YouTube video on Chrome and the same thing happened. Maybe the monitor splitting isn't happening at all and the snapping is a Windows feature? Nope, I actually see 2.1 and 2.2 when snapping, so DisplayFusion is at least doing something.
