I'm on Windows 11. With 7 virtual desktops, I use wallpaper to tell me which one I'm on. With DF, I could name the wallpaper jpgs as the name of the desktop and then display that name with the wp-title info tag. On top of that, the sysadmin sometimes resets our wallpaper so being able to load a wallpaper profile, using a virtual desktop switch as a trigger would solve all of my issues. Or better yet, add the virtual desktop name as a System Info Tag, that way I don't have to change the image name.

Now that I'm thinking about it, these 3 changes would give me/(us?) what's needed, I believe.
1. Add Virtual Desktop Name as a System Info Tag
2. Add Virtual Desktop Switch as a monitored trigger event
3. Add Virtual Desktop Name as a Match Condition attribute.

I'm thinking that I could then have a trigger based on the Virtual Desktop Switch event and then a series of conditions for each Virtual Desktop Name that would load the correspondng Wallpaper profile.

I find myself in the same situation, wanting to keep some Virtual Desktops with bland wallpaper for work use, and keep the fancy/fun wallpaper for my personal Desktop.

For me this serves multiple purposes:
1) Safeguard: I need a bland or professional wallpaper for my work desktop so I don't need to worry about taking screenshots, recording videos, or screen sharing.
2) Easy Identification: A different wallpaper would make it easier for me to tell which Virtual Desktop I am on, which could be a personal virtual desktop, a work desktop, or a hybrid.

I've had to turn off multi monitor taskbars to get virtual desktops working on machines where I use display fusion. I don't install DF on some machines specifically to keep virtual desktops running. Now I am going to turn off DF wallpapers to get different desktops

I'd settle for having fancy DF wall paper on one desktop and dumb single color on other desktops if that saves some development time.

Even making it so that I could have only the Info change in a specific spot with text indicating the name of the virtual desktop would be golden. Like I pick bottom left and specify {virtual desktop name} would be sufficient. I don't need or even want full DF wallpapers which are different per virtual desktop. We just need to be able to easily tell them apart.

This is going to be key as Microsoft starts eating away at the benefits of Display Fusion. Ignore this at DF's peril.

For others, I use Virtual Desktop Manager which displays a iny number in the tray to help with this.
