Sorry to hear that you ran into trouble with the updater when gaming! The good news is that we've actualy added a full screen check before showing the updater in 9.7, so future update notifications won't open if a full screen game or video is running.

Hello,

Recently I got the notice for DisplayFusion update being available. However, I was in a full-screen game at the time and the update showed "greyed out" but on screen in front of my window. Essentially, it popped up de-selected in front of what I was doing.

I basically instantly went into the application and permanently disabled it checking for updates automatically, as I never ever ever ever want a utility program to be that intrusive, but I thought you should be alerted that it happens.

My other utility programs only check for updates and notify me when either they are launched, or when my computer restarts (and they are launched on startup so really, same difference). Considering DisplayFusion isn't exactly anti-virus software level of import, perhaps it should take a similar low-priority stance on update notifications.

Edit: I have DF license through purchasing it on Steam ages ago. I don't think it typically updates through Steam but honestly, I don't know. I don't really care about DF updates because I literally use it for 2 things, changing wallpapers on multiple monitors, and extending my display to the TV or not depending on whether I want to play a game on couch or not. I am NOT a power user.
