- When using Monitor fading with 3 virtual monitors, when maximizing a window to full physical monitor (i. e. strech over all 3), the fading is not adapted and still highlights one of the (not visible) virtual monitors which looks really strange
- The same issue happens on the Lock Screen of Windows 10. Fading should be disabled here when used for virtual monitors, but on the lock screen the fading is not adapted and still highlights one of the (not visible) virtual monitors which looks really strange

Thanks for the feedback! Most of those issues can be resolved if you edit the Window Position Profile and remove any file names or page titles from the "Window Text" condition for the entries that have them. Note though, that if there are multiple entries that have the same Process Name, Window Class, and Window Text, then it can't differentiate between them.

Regarding windows moving around on their own, the profile gets automatically loaded if it's assigned Monitor Profile is detected. Usually that only happens when logging back in, or if a monitor is lost/re-detected. There's also a short delay after the profile is detected before it starts to load the profile, just to give the monitor detection time to finish.

Re: The profiles not working correctly with windows that are maximized ignoring splits, I'll check that out and add it to our list to fix up.

Thanks!

Hello,

Use Case:
3 different setups for which I have created profiles:
- Laptop only use (1 monitor)
- Office (49" 32:9 monitor, virtually splitted into 3 screens)
- Homeoffice (Triple monitor setup)

Profiles:
Each using an own wallpaper, desktoip icon and window position pfofile

Issues:

Often, when screen gets locked automatially or laptop is in standby, after logging in again, windows are not at their previous position again

Sometimes, when using the PC actively, windows start moving to different places, which is really disturbing

Selecting a profile with associated windows location profile often does not place all windows correctly

Selecting a profile with associated wallpaper profile sometimes shows a black background because the wallpaper profile lost the assigned wallpaper image (really strange)

Some windows are not handled properly by the windows location profile, e. g. Slack is ignored completely

Firefox and Chrome often are not handled properly by the windows location profile

In general, apps like browsers, notepad etc. where two or more windows of the same app might be opened, are also not handled properly by the windows location profile, none of the opened windows are placed correctly

If I split one of my physical monitors in 3 virtual screens and then maximize a windows to the full physical screen (i. e. spanned across all 3 virtual screens, with SHIFT), this is also not handeled properly by the windows location profile

All in all, the functions of DF would be exactly what I need, if they would work as intended, but often I find myself aligning windows etc. which I wanted to avoid with DF.

Best regards

Stefan
