The problem comes from the process integrity settings added in Vista. DisplayFusion runs as a high integrity process, so that it can interact with other high processes (like control panel windows, regedit... etc). However, most applications, including the desktop and Windows Explorer, run as medium processes. Because they run lower than DisplayFusion they aren't allowed to drag/drop anything onto DisplayFusion. In this example, I have the Documents Library open on my left screen with the Windows 7 taskbar. On my right screen, I have a folder called "Wow Stuff" If I try to drag a file from the documents library, to the Wow Stuff folder, I get the (/) icon. and I have to manually bring that folder to the front then drag the file into it.

If it is reversed and I am dragging a file from the DF side to a minimized folder on the windows side, windows automatically opens the folder and allows me to drop the file in that folder.

Say you have "My Documents" minimized on the screen that has the DF toobar. I open "Downloads" on either screen. If I click on a file and try to drag and drop it on to the "My Documents" tab, it won't let me. It just displays the circle with the line through it (the no icon). On the Windows 7 taskbar, It opens the "My Documents" window and lets me drop the file in there. That would be when dragging a file over the the program's icon on the DF Taskbar.

For example, If I have WinSCP minimized on the DF Taskbar and go to drag a file over the icon, WinSCP should restore itself, then I finish my drop into WinSCP's actual program window.

It seems to be working well, except for my comment above. The hover over a button on the DF taskbar and have the program window restore itself does NOT work in the BETA or last stable, at least for me.

It actually seems a little quicker/smoother, and a few cosmetic errors I was seeing , are now gone! The two big one's I had was that on the DF Taskbar, Windows would always be on top of the taskbar no matter what did. Now they are underneath when I move them down that far. Also, when I would minimize a Firefox window in particular, the next program button to the left would flash, even if it was on the main taskbar. This has stopped also.
