good news, tried beta 3, DF settings now loads normally.

Based on searched from previous thread I did this:
- sfc /scannow
- dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
- disabled active protection on AVG antivirus
none of the above seems to make a difference. Thanks for any help.

So I went back to 9.4.3 and that still works fine. ]]>
