I recently hooked up a second monitor to my laptop. After a while, I decided to give my two monitors separate backgrounds. I looked up how to do it on the internet. Everywhere I looked referred me to DisplayFusion. I installed the latest version, and I was really excited - until I installed it. I have Windows Vista, and don't get me wrong, I really want it to work. But I would try to open it...and it wouldn't open. So, I'd click the button (or get to it through the Start menu) to try to open it that way. Only then, a message popped up saying "Sorry, another instance of DisplayFusion is already running. Would you like to close the existing instance and use this one instead?" So, I click yes. But then, it never opened. I tried to open it; I restarted my computer, and I turned it off, waited, and turned it back on, but it never opened. That same message kept on coming up.

Frustrated, I thought maybe I could uninstall it and reinstall it again. But when I went into my "Add/Remove Programs" list and clicked "Uninstall", it wouldn't let me. Why? Because "Uninstall has detected that DisplayFusion is currently running. Please close all instances of it now, then click OK to continue, or Cancel to exit." So I can't open DisplayFusion. But I can't uninstall it either. Can anyone please help me here?
