Also wanted to say that I've been struggling with this issue for days, and it happened at exactly the same time that I decided to start testing out DisplayFusion to see if it could help me automatically dim my other monitors when I start a game (and it could!).

Somehow when I was setting things up with the multi-monitor taskbar, I must've hit the secret key combination on my keyboard (Glorious Mechanical Keyboard -- this is actually the name, not me being a smartass). On that keyboard it was FN+Windows Key

So thank you for having this information available!

Quote:
Well i was up till about 2am last night but i finally figured it out.

Turns out it was actually my keyboard.

While uninstalling one piece of software after another, I accidentally hit the WinLogo button and realized it didn't bring up my start menu. Turns out I couldn't use my WinLogo key at all. I got really frustrated and pulled my keyboard from my computer and hooked it up to a spair computer. The problem followed it.

This really ticked me off since I have a pretty expensive Razer Lycosa keyboard that I absolutely love, so I did some digging around the net. Turns out that my keyboard has a special feature where you can actually disable the WinLogo key so you do not accidentally hit it in games, and somehow I had done the special keystroke that disabled it. I did the same RazerLogo+WinLogo keystroke again to re-enable it, and now all is well.

Go figure!!!!

Greetings from the year 2020.

We still don't have flying cars, and even reality itself sorta "jumped the shark" in terms of absurdity, so there's little insight I can provide.

However I offer my sincere thanks to you ancients scribes for maintaing this historical log of past quandries and trails.

I too have encounted the same issue, as I have many times actually without recognizing the ignating factor or reasons it stopped.

Yet the problems of today were apparently the problems of yesteryear as well. And I learned a lil something about my keyboard as well.

Those of us who are neglectful of history are doomed to repeat it.
