I am hopping in to report that this prompt has been working quite well. A few moments after re-docking my monitors, the prompt appears and I click to restart.<br/>
<br/>
I am curious though- you have the logic to show the prompt. Is Windows preventing you from automatically performing the action? Like it takes a manual input from a mouse/keyboard in order to execute the restart of Explorer? Again, just curious. I would be open to an option to always allow DF to perform this act on my behalf.

It's not something we can fix in DisplayFusion unfortunately. The issue isn't something that DisplayFusion is doing, but rather that explorer.exe (a Windows component) gets into a state where when DisplayFusion creates its taskbar on the second monitor, Windows just doesn't reserve the space for it like it's supposed to.<br/>
<br/>
DisplayFusion doesn't say "create this window and please reserve this amount of space for it." We tell it to create a docked window (AppBar) at the bottome edge, and Windows is supposed to adjust the work area to reserve the space. For whatever reason, it just doesn't sometimes and the only resolution is to restart explorer.exe.<br/>
<br/>
It happens to me frequently as well, if we could solve it, we definitely would <img src="https://www.displayfusion.com/MediaCommon/SVGs/FontAwesome/face-laugh-beam.light.svg" alt=":laugh:" style="box-sizing:border-box;position:relative;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:middle !important;width:16px;height:16px;" HelpButtonData=":laugh:" HelpButtonDataAlign="BelowMiddle" />

Has there been any solution to this issue? I have had this for well over a year. It is intermittent and restarting explorer does reset the problem but thats a frustrating work around for a $50 piece of software I literally only purchased in order to be able to change between 3 screens. like thats the only thing i use it for. to switch between my two pc monitors and my TV. because windows cant handle 3 screens apparently. And basically ever since ive bought it ive had this issue and theres been no fix i can find. please update.

<br/>
Echoing this -- going from undocked to docked (2 monitors in my case) is exactly when this happens for me. Displayfusion's function for half-screen left/right (which I use constantly) hides the bottom under the taskbar. Using Windows' Snap function dragging the window to the left or right does work (but obviously I like DisplayFusion's function including keyboards shortcuts infinitely better). Restarting explorer.exe did not work, but following Keith's instructions to end the explorer.exe process on the details tab and then start it as a new task, did work.<br/>
<br/>
edit: My computer is not short on memory (16gb RAM for mostly office work).
