Thanks for the feedback Jim. Middle-clicking a taskbar item in Windows 7 opens a new instance, and middle-clicking a taskbar item's preview thumbnail closes an instance. Well this seems like a good place to post this new little tidbit which I had no clue worked this way and which users might find useful. <br/>

I want the exact opposite functionality, a <b>middle click should close the window</b>, like web browsers do, taskbar shuffle did when I used it, etc. The link below will show you that this functionality is there in Win 7 natively, just one tiny step further... enjoy.<br/>

Jon might want to take this into account when recreating the Windows 7 taskbar tricks functionality! I'm going to be using it now that I know about it.<br/>
