I won't lie and claim this feature would make me buy DisplayFusion, since I already did so in 2010, and I am a happy customer ever since! Nevertheless, this (custom dpi setting per monitor) would be a most welcomed feature for me.

Let me explain why: I use my notebook (14" screen, 1920x1080) beside a 24" screen (also 1920 x 1080). And Windows 8.1 has an awfully terrible way of handling such a situation: Either you manually choose different dpi settings per display which results in blurry screens (ironically especially with Microsoft software; see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2900023 and http://superuser.com/questions/643443/how-to-set-systemwide-xp-style-dpi-scaling-in-windows-8-1), or you have Windows handle it "automagically" (see http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows/2013/07/15/windows-8-1-dpi-scaling-enhancements/ and http://www.howtogeek.com/175664/how-to-make-the-windows-desktop-work-well-on-high-dpi-displays-and-fix-blurry-fonts/) which results in either by far to big display elements (task bar etc.) at my big screen or unreadably tiny elements at the notebook's screen

I would really love to have a way to manually adjust the dpi setting of each screen (while keeping the same resolution, of course) individually without invoking blurriness! Please consider this feature. Besides, AFAIK, no other software offers this yet, by the way, so it would make DisplayFusion stand out even more!

Cheers, Philipp

I'll bump this back to the top. I recently picked up a Surface Pro 3 and while it's an amazing device, its one big shortcoming is the way it handles High DPI, especially when multiple monitors are used. Windows 8.1 helps with this a bit with its automatic DPI scaling, at least for apps that support it, but I still prefer one setting when I'm docked (100%) and another when I'm undocked (150%).

I've tried the 125% compromise that some recommend, but honestly it just ends up being annoying. Things are too big when docked and too small when undocked. As a result, I basically end up manually switching back and forth. This requires me to sign out and back in which is also annoying, but I know that's unavoidable. Nonetheless, it would be AWESOME if we could associate a scaling factor with each monitor profile even if we had to log out and back in just to avoid a manual step each time.

While I'm suggesting things, it would also be great if we could fold application monitor assignments with monitor profiles so that when the profile changes, applications that are already open automatically move to a specific monitor according to their assignments. I have three display setups at both home and work, but the monitor IDs aren't the same. And of course when I'm undocked I only have one display. Let me give an example of how I'd like to see this work. When I'm at home, I want Chrome on monitor 2 (middle), Outlook on monitor 1 (left), and my IDE on monitor 3 (right). When I'm at work, I want Chrome on monitor 2 (middle), Outlook on monitor 3 (left), and my IDE on monitor 1 (right). When I'm undocked all apps are are on monitor 1. As I switch between profiles, these apps would just adjust automatically.

Anyway, thanks for the amazing app!

Hi,

before i buy the pro version i would like to know if the following is possible...

I own a Surface Pro and us a Targus usb3.0 dock to attach 2 monitors to it at work.
To have the right view is set the DPI to 100%

Now on the surface this is very very small. no problem at work, cause i do not use the display of the surface.

But when i go home, and disconnect the dock, i would like it to reset to 125%.

Is this possible with the pro version? like save a profile for work and home? or is it not possible to do the dpi size in these setting?

I know that windows cannot set different DPI for different monitors. But maybe this could be an easy switch.
