After some more troubleshooting I found this seemed to be caused by DTS Ultra app. For some reason switching monitors causes it to re-enable itself and thus force Stereo mode! So I just uninstalled and appears to work fine now...

I have a 27" monitor that I use with 5.1 surround sound speakers when gaming then switch to a 43" TV with the internal tv speakers for watching Netflix in the evenings.

However I have noticed a strange bug - switching appears to reset the settings for the speakers! They go from "5.1 Surround" back to "Stereo" mode. Perhaps it is inheriting the stereo settings from the TV speakers or is just completely resetting everything for some reason!

I have tried switching audio using a similar program called 'SoundSwitch' and it works perfectly. But ideally I would just use DisplayFusion as then I can switch the audio and video at the same time. I'm sure this used to work great. Im running the latest version of Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks.
