A VGA splitter won't give you extended screens. It will only split the one signal sent out by the computer and show the same thing on both displays, as you've already found out

Does your machine have two video outputs? If so, plugging one monitor into each and then enabling them in the Windows screen resolution settings (or DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration) should work.

If you only have one output, a USB display adapter should work for connecting the second monitor. They're fairly inexpensive and can be found at most local computer/electronics shops.

Hope that helps!

Hi guys,

Have tried to fix this and go through all the available info online however have had to post for help.

So purchased a vga splitter and connected up both screens. However im just getting a mirror.

Intel HD: Cant find 2nd Monitor

Devices & Printers: Cant find 2nd Monitor
Add A Device: No Device Found
Device Manager: Only showing Primary Monitor
Scan for changes: No Change

Settings: System: Display:
When i click identify, both Monitors show 1
Multiple Display: Extend

I have tried using only the second monitor without the splitter and then all i get is a blank screen.

I have downloaded the driver for the second monitor also but still cannot detect.

Monitors: AOC2343 (1), AOC E2270S (2)

Graphics: Intel HD

Any help will be appreciated.
