Here are the steps:

On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
Reply with the file attached
Disable debug logging after sending the log

Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
Click the "Export Info to File" button
Reply with the file attached

What version of IntelliJ are you running? I tested it out on my end with v2021.3.1, and it seemed to work fine snapping to splits.

This usually happens if Adobe Reader is running sandboxed. You can disable that in the Adobe Reader settings, but please note that it will decrease the security of Adobe Reader, so disable it at your own risk.

In Adobe Reader, click Edit > Preferences.
In the left pane, click the "Security (Enhanced)" section.
Disable the "Run in AppContainer" option.
Click OK.
Restart Adobe Reader.

I haven't noticed the same issue with any other window as of yet. I have another issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader. When clicking the maximize button of the window, the window does not react at all. When pressing shift and clicking the maximize button, the window is correctly maximized across both virtual screens. It is also possible to maximize the Acrobat Reader window for a single virtual screen going through the DisplayFusion Menu. To cut to the chase, the only thing that does not seem to do anything is simply clicking the maximize button.
