After testing the trial version I went ahead and purchased the license as DF works better with Windows 7 than UltraMon, which I'd been using for years on my previous computer running XP, although I still second this request - it'd be REALLY helpful if DF could keep Windows from outsmarting itself.

Windows is "supposed" to open an app on the last monitor, but it behaves inconsistently depending on if the app was maximized, what phase the moon is in, etc. Also, FireFox now seems to use its own logic, as the latest version started over-riding UltraMon’s previously working ability to enforce monitors on my XP laptop.

The other exception I found was Win7’s RDC – I run a 1366x768 laptop as primary and a 1680x1050 LCD as extended. I want the RDC to always open on the larger display (unless I’m undocked), but it I tell RDC to use full screen it only opens on the smaller display and I can’t move it to the other display (custom hotkey “Ctrl-~”). However, if I set RDC to use 1680x1050, it will still open on the laptop, albeit too large for the screen, but I can then use my Ctrl-~ hotkey and it will run full screen on the larger display.

Hi. I understand that with dual monitors, the window an application is closed in, is the one it will re-open it on next execution. Does your application control this so that you can control the behavior (for example, have all applications always open in primary monitor, or identify an application to always open in 2nd monitor?)
thanks
