i have some apps that insist on opening their sub-windows on the same monitor as the app _and_ centered on that monitor. i would like to have the window open where i put it, not where the app wants it.
- open app on monitor-1
- open sub-window labelled "report-1" on monitor-2, at specific location
- open sub-window labelled "report-2" on monitor-1, at specific location

i can do it with autohotkey, but would like to simplify things and only use one util for location control.

from what i have found, DF cannot do that. only the main window can be forced to a monitor & location. sub-windows can only be forced to the same monitor as the main window.

am i missing something?

take care,
