There used to be an awesome little app about 15 years ago called Snappy Windows that let you do just that. Any window when resizing would snap to any other window, or the monitor edge.<br/>

And not only that, but when you moved the cursor between two windows, and resized, they would both resize together! Unfortunately, it didn't do that where 3 or 4 windows met, but that would have been the dogs bollocks. Or maybe even an option to hold a modifier key down and have all windows that were currently lined up horizontally or vertically by 10px either way, resize, that would be useful!<br/>
