OK, it's finally happened while I had time to post. could it have something to do with the fact that the Windows monitor numbering and the DF monitor numbering are different?

it seems like some sort of shadow glitch from the "windows taskbar shows all windows" settings, and this time it was on monitor 5 as opposed to monitor 2. ( by the windows numbering)changing to that setting and then changing back to "relevant tasks on windows" clears the unwanted icon.
here is the troubleshooting information:
I have just noticed a slight glitch, and felt that I would pass it along. I have a 5 monitor , utilizing 2 dual head video cards and a virtual driver using another PC as my fifth.

I noticed that any program that I have on my second monitor ( which is connected to the same video card as my primary) not only shows an icon on the secondary taskbar, but also the primary. this isn't duplicated with any of the other monitors, nor is it reciprocated with any program shown on the primary monitor
