HI Keith
There seems no "On the Settings > Window Location tab" anymore, since the post is a bit older.
Am I right, that this is done now, via Triggers?
I think it's working, but perhaps this helps someone else as well, who sees this post.
Cheers

After more than a month of frustration I decided to spend more time thinking about this issue and I considered what you'd said about DPI. I find that the odd application seems to have issues or doesn't display aspects of it's interface on high DPI systems. I figured since there are menu areas of displayfusion that are a bit off with high DPI, that there might be something to this...

I started to play with the values and eventually I found that increasing the width and height by a considerable amount restored the functionality of this function action.

Initially with the aforementioned values, using the hotkey would move the application to various heights and widths, nowhere near where they used to be.

I then set the values to X = 0, Y = -115, W = 3352, H = 2219 and I now have what I want and the hotkey sends the app to where it belongs every time I hit it. It seems if I specify lower W and H the application won't necessarily go to whatever the specified values are supposed to be.

Well this is interesting... If I set Windows DPI to default "small" the application opens small, smaller than it's wrongly positioned with my previous DPI.

Considering this, I went back to a larger DPI and disabled DPI composition with the application and it seemed to load up roughly to where it should be... but of course, the font is too small for my liking.

Could this be an issue with the application? I don't believe I updated it but perhaps I did.

I updated this morning when it notified me but unfortunately the experience is still the same.

It's funny, the application as it's configured and was previously working would start beyond the corner of the screen, so something like -50, -50 for example, but sometimes when it opens it's something like -36, -25 and when I hit my hotkey combo it gets the top left corner almost where it needs to go but the bottom right is still a couple inches away from the bottom right corner when it should actually be beyond the resolution of my display. If I keep hitting the hot key it eventually gets the top left to the right spot but the window size is still way off.

Since I figured I'm one of the few people that are trying to default a program to open beyond the desktop size, perhaps the only person opening up an app with the top left corner in the X,Y negatives and going beyond my resolution on the bottom right in both directions, I decided for diagnostics to punch in values that are within the constraints of my primary display.

So setting X,Y to 1,1 and going with 2500 x 1400 (on my 2560 x 1440 display) and the result was wrong. The window size was not accurate to the resolution, it was even smaller than before.

However later today I'll test with another app in the event it's the application itself that's the problem and not displayfusion...

I figured I'd necro an old thread because it has the same details on the same system with the same installation of Windows 7 with the same applications in question...

I held off on updating displayfusion for some time as I know from experience that if something is working well, you shouldn't change. However after ignoring a few displayfusion updates I decided to go with the latest version. After doing so, the Windows Location's function to Manage Window and align it as detailed in a post above is no longer working.

Basically instead of the application 1, -121 (X,Y) with a width of 2886 x 1619 (the width going onto the second screen), it goes to about a quarter of the primary screen size.

It's getting the 1, -121 mostly right but the width and height it's lessening. If I manually extend the application to those dimensions and hit my resizing hotkey, it makes the window smaller.

Keith, I updated the Remote Desktop Manager software to 8.4.0.0 and it still targets the same as before so I think I'll have to simply manually enter the desired values. I'm further along than before my question that started this thread so that's good!

I enabled the settings you suggested to show values in a tooltip, but I don't see a tooltip anywhere...? Where should these values be? I thought perhaps it might show next to the cursor like VMware does, but there's nothing there or on the displayfusion taskbar so I'm not entirely sure where I should be looking?

Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise Edition Version 8.3.3.0

I'm connecting to the remote sessions 'embedded' within the main window and I'm releasing the targeting icon on 'main screen' as per below, which is basically my remote session and the right side on the right monitor which is basically the list of servers.

What's strange about this is that I have the remote session filling up my entire screen so it's basically 2560 x 1600 minus the pixels of the taskbar, so even if it was capturing the remote session 'window', it should still be about 2545 x 1510 and not what's reported.

Earlier when I'd mentioned "initially the targeting icon didn't seem to want to pick up the application even when it was in focus", I suppose in response to the more recent message it would be more accurate to say that the targeting icon won't pick up the title bar of the application. It doesn't update when I release on the title bar.

If I release on the aspect of the application on the right most screen, I get
Width - 1362
Height - 999

If I release on the primary window aspect of the application, I get
Width - 1925
Height - 1144

Yet the function seems to apply to the whole application so if I enter 1925 x 1144 into the values, it will shrink the entire program down to 1925 x 1144. I imagine if I added 1925 + 1362 x 999 + 1144, I'd probably get what I wanted for the values (but I can't test that now since I'm typing this in between working).
