We've added this to our list and will be sure to let you know when we've implemented it. In the meantime as a workaround, you could position the taskbars for the top splits at the top of the screen by right-clicking the taskbar and navigating to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Position > Top.

When shift-clicking maximize or using the 'maximize window(ignore monitor splits)' command the split taskbars are appearing in front of the maximized window.

Surely this isn't intended behavior - as ignoring splits should by definition imply the intent to view the content on the full monitor?

The attached image displays the problem (though you have to look closely, as i've set the taskbars to a high transparency to minimize the issue) on the top center 4k monitor, which is split into a 3x3 grid, with tray/windows icon disabled.
