When slideshow mode is enabled, it always shuffles the images that are returned by the API. The sorting in the plugin window is more for when slideshow mode is disabled, to give you a way to see different sets of images for manually choosing one. I'll add an item to our list to see if we can remove the sorting controls when slideshow mode is enabled.

When I choose to change wallpapers with InterfaceLIFT, sort by date from newest first (see attached screen shot) and apply, shouldn't the first wallpaper applied be the newest at InterfaceLIFT?

With those settings it seems to shuffle the wallpapers.
