The great thing about the Vladstudio integration is that Vlad already had an API that was in use by a program supported by himself. I worked closely with Vlad to tweak the API to get the data I needed for DisplayFusion to work properly which resulted in the very tight integration in DisplayFusion 2.3. I don't think DeviantArt has a public API (at least I can't find one) but if they did, it would be trivial to integrate with it.
