So, here's a suggestion for you:

Just like you automatically recognize the need to realign the wallpaper, how about automatically recognizing the need to realign the monitors to some default profile.

This is Windows 7, SP1. Not that I'm aware of, although I did have DisplayLink drivers loaded a few weeks ago. Since removed.

I have DF set to automatically adjust the wallpaper if it senses the need to do that. However, after about 30 seconds my monitor arrangement is reset and all monitors are aligned along their bottoms.

I can use the monitor configuration option to retrieve my desired settings and then all is good until the next reboot. ]]>
