It keeps the desktop free of icons and it's easy to access.

The one thing I wish I could do however is make them have a popup menu instead of opening the folder in explorer.

I've attached a very quick mockup of what I mean. On mouse over (or click) it would give a popup, very similar to what we get now when we right click a taskbar icon that would give us a list view of what is in the folder.

Is this possible? ]]>
